1. 3D-SPI-System Omron CKD VP-01G

Omron's CKD VP-01G inline 3D SPI system enables automated 3D inspection of solder paste depots on printed circuit boards, enabling early detection of defects and deviations, keeping the printing process under control, and improving the quality of subsequent production steps.

The system's advanced 3D measurement method detects not only the presence, offset, and area information, but also insufficient volume and incorrectly defined profiles of the applied solder paste portions.

This technology also enables the inspection of adhesive dots. Another unique feature of the system is the "Multiple Resolution Switch" function, which allows to automatically and flexibly switch between standard, high and very high resolution. In this way the optimal compromise between inspection speed and accuracy can be set for each area of the printed circuit board.

 

2. 3D-AOI-System Omron VT-S1080

Omron's VT-S1080 3D AOI system enables automatic 3D inspection of components, solder joints and clearance surfaces on assembled PCBs. It uses a special measuring head with innovative multi-directional/multi-color illumination, four DLP projectors with various fringe patterns for shadow-free 3D measurement using the micro-phase-shift moiré technique and additional side cameras to increase inspection depth (e.g., for hidden solder joints on connectors). Its AI-based image analysis software ensures reliable and process-safe inspection results. Inspection programs can be created quickly and easily using AI-based auto-programming.

 

3. Video Microscope Inspection System Inspectis

The inline video microscope inspection system from Inspectis enables the random manual inspection of assembled printed circuit boards on the production line.

It is based on a high-resolution 4K video camera with UHD resolution, mounted on an XY translation system for precise positioning above the circuit board.

The live video image is displayed on a monitor above the conveyor belt. At the touch of a button, details on the assembly can be magnified up to 30x using a motorized optical zoom. The integrated autofocus function ensures that the inspected objects are always automatically in focus across the entire zoom range. With the help of additional macro lenses, the magnification can be increased up to 192x. Software is available for the system, which can be used to save, measure, label, and incorporate the captured images into inspection reports. Videos of the inspection can also be recorded.
